Award-winning kid rocker, Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove has performed for tens of thousands of students throughout the United States. He’s also presented assemblies at Department of Defense schools in Germany, Italy, England, and Spain.

From author visits to full concert experiences, Jim provides educational and fun assemblies for students in preschool through sixth grade. Jim’s concerts are also a wonderful addition to family fun nights and book fairs! His enthusiastic and lively programs reinforce themes of cooperation, friendship, and love. Dozens of audience members are selected to perform on stage in several “jam” sessions. It’s always a rockin’ dance party with Mr. Stinky Feet!

Character Education Programs


They Rhythm of Movement

Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove knows that preschoolers and toddlers have a natural sense of rhythm and love to show off their dance moves. In this 30-45-minute concert for early childhood centers, children will hop and bop to songs about trucks, bugs, and dinosaurs while practicing cooperation, taking turns, and learning audience participation skills.

Grade Levels: Early Childhood – Preschool

Program Length: 30-45 minutes – Maximum Audience Size: 250 students. If your center prefers smaller group sizes, please ask about pricing for multiple sets. Jim can perform up to three, 30 minute sets in one day.

Set Up Requirements: Jim provides his own sound system and requires access to an electrical outlet. Please allow 20-30 minutes for both set up and breakdown of the equipment. Please provide a performance space no smaller than 12ft. deep by 20ft. wide, with enough open floor space for young ones to sit together with their caregivers.


The Rhythm of Respect

During this high-energy, musical program of interactive exercises, dancing, and singing, students will learn about rhythm and how it relates to respecting ourselves, others, and the earth. Cosgrove encourages students to express personal rhythm in everyday activities such as homework, music, and sports while emphasizing respect for others. Dozens of students are selected from the audience to perform on stage in several “jam” sessions while learning how to demonstrate self-expression and positive audience participation skills. Teachers will have a chance to express their rhythm during a grand finale.

Grade Levels: K-6

Program Length: 45-50 minutes Maximum Audience Size: 350 students. If you would like to include more students, we can schedule two shows on the same day.

Set Up Requirements: Jim provides his own sound system and requires access to an electrical outlet. Please allow 20-30 minutes for both set up and breakdown of the equipment. Please provide a space no smaller than 12ft deep by 25ft wide. The gymnasium floor is adequate. Due to the interactive nature, please do not seat students in bleachers. Please seat students on the floor, with a middle aisle.


The Rhythm of Emotions

Jim incorporates messages about friendship, feelings, and empathy from his book Sullen Sally in this interactive musical and literary performance. Jim performs songs celebrating the range of emotions we encounter within ourselves and those around us.

Grade Levels: Pre-K-2

Program Length: 45 minutes – Maximum Audience Size: 250 students

Set Up Requirements: Jim provides his own sound system and requires access to an electrical outlet. Please allow 20-30 minutes for both set up and breakdown of the equipment.  The gymnasium floor is adequate. Please do not seat students in bleachers. Please seat students on the floor. This program can also be modified to accommodate individual classrooms, or library visits.

Invite Jim to be a guest reader in a classroom on the same day as a character education program (for an additional fee.)
